October 3 & 4, 2008
Courtyard
Marriott
Fairfield, CA
On Friday and
Saturday, October 3 & 4, 2008, the Kenpo/Kempo Lő Kahi Association
Connection will be holding it's first ever west-coast event. The
event is designed to show and demonstrate Kenpo/Kempo's origins and also
to display some of the present-day Kenpo/Kempo styles. The two
styles that had a major impact on Kenpo/Kempo were Lua and Danzan-Ryu
Jiu Jitsu. The mixture of the hard bone-breaking Lua and
soft/flexible Danzan-Ryu Jiu Jitsu gave Kenpo/Kempo part of it's
hard/soft character. The Kenpo/Kempo Lő Kahi Association Seminars
will run all day on Saturday, October 4, 2008 from 8:30am
and run continuous (with a one-hour lunch break) until 4pm (plan
on arriving at least 15 minutes early. We start on time!).
The event will showcase the styles of the six prestigious Masters listed
below (click on their name/picture to read their bio).
In addition to the Saturday
event, Master Bill Chun, Jr. will be teaching a rare Workshop
covering C/C Dian Hsuhe and Kara Ho applications of Professor William
K.S. Chow and his father, Grandmaster Bill Chun, Sr. This Workshop
will show people the wide range of Professor Chow's Kenpo/Kempo from the
hard to the soft. The Workshop will be held on Friday, October
3, 2008 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm and will also be held in the
Courtyard Marriott Ballroom.
Requirements for both
Seminars:
