On Saturday, February 3, 2007, an honorable and historic event took place. The Professor William K.S. ‘Thuderbolt’ Chow Memorial paid tribute to a great Martial Artist and an honorable and generous person. The Memorial brought together five major offshoots of Professor Chow’s teachings. Those systems that were so honored were: Kosho-Ryu Kenpo, Go Shin Jitsu Kenpo/Chinese Kempo, Kajukenbo, American Kenpo, Shaolin Kenpo, and Nick Cerio’s Kenpo. Founders and/or Representatives from these clans were on-hand to to share their Art with the many guests that supported the event. The Memorial also paid respect and tribute to Kenpo’s Founder, Great Grandmaster James Mitose. Seminars in Kosho-Ryu Kenpo were also taught to Seminar Participants.

The evening Celebration Dinner brought together the different clans in an evening of Unity to honor the life and legacy of Professor Chow. Recognition Awards were given presented to each of the System’s Founders and/or Representatives that selflessly gave their time to make the event a great success. The evening culminated in the dedication of a specially made Plaque in Professor Chow’s honor. The Plaque will be dedicated and displayed at the Nuuanu YMCA for all to see and admire.
